World Health Day 2024: Ensuring the Right to Health for all
Today, April 7, is World Health Day. Celebrated each year on the anniversary of the founding of the World Health Organization (WHO), World Health Day is an opportunity to spread awareness around global health issues, including crises like AIDS, that continue to persist.
This year’s World Health Day theme, “My Health, My Right,” sounds the alarm on the increased threat to the health of millions around the world.

World Health Day also marks the third anniversary of the launch of our (RED)UCATOR program. Since 2021, the (RED)UCATOR family has grown to include talented voices from the world of sports, to entertainment, to culinary arts, and more. Our World Health Day 2024 Video features a voiceover from one of our first (RED)UCATORs, Dayo Okeniyi. We are incredibly grateful for the support and efforts of our (RED)UCATORS to amplify (RED)’s mission and bring heat and urgency to the fight.
We’re also thankful for our partner, Merck (known as MSD outside the U.S. and Canada) for their generous support during key moments like World Health Day and throughout the year. Since the first HIV products became available, Merck has been working tirelessly to expand access to medicines, strengthen health systems, as well as address global health challenges around the world. Thank you, Merck, for your long-standing support in the fight to end AIDS!
