The 2022 Song of the Summer

For the first time in the 16-year history of (RED) we are tackling a truly controversial and divisive topic – “the song of the summer” – but we’re asking you for help. 

Sure the song of the summer is often an annual argument held between fans and stans of artists looking for bragging rights for their respective favs. But in recent years, the idea has gained a certain cache and now even the artists seemingly have been aiming to be the song you think of first when you get into the car or the club.

 So this year, (RED) is wading into these waters with your help and electrified by Fiat. We have devised a competition-style tournament with the top contenders for 2022 Song of the Summer. And in case we forgot any song, across social media we’ll hold play-in sing-in votes where you can vote for songs that trended on those platforms or write in any songs that you believe should be the “Song of the Summer” – our (RED) Round. And again, it’s not only songs that have been popular this summer but it’s also new songs that capture the 2022 mood or the jams you love that more people should hear.
